"Took 4 attempts to finally install my dishwasher. When the installation company they use finally installed it the didn't put the washer on my water line. It caused water to leak into my finished basement damaging the ceiling, wall, light fixture and i even have water coming out the wall going down the foundation on the outside of my house. Buyer beware."

"I needed something to tie down some stuff in the bed of my truck. I looked and saw outside the loading area door a spool of twine and a utility knife to cut it with. There were also plastic red flags available. Free of charge. Thank you very much."

"What a nightmare this company and their delivery/ installation services are. They didn't put my microwave in properly, refused to take the old dishwasher away despite it being paid for, they left the new dishwasher in the doorway between the kitchen and dining room. They also came out twice to install the dryer but despite taking the connection off the first time said they had to go. The second set of installers said it's too high, the machine is in the basement. We called Slyman appliances and they are delivering a new dryer the day after Christmas and doing the installation despite it being in the basement. All for less than home depot. After this experience, as well as another issue with the installers/ delivery people we're near using home depot again. Even the person who refunded our installation fees said she didn't know why they kept using such a horrible service. Home depot is a nightmare to deal with."

"I went to my local Home Depot in Chesterfield Valley to start a major home remodel effort. I have three projects that are approximately going to be anywhere between $5000 to $10,000 projects. To start the first project, I simply went there to get joint compound, some sandpaper, and moulding. No one at the checkout counter knew what they were doing. It took nearly 20 minutes to get checked out and they still could not complete the transaction because of a code on the molding. They asked me to go back and to find a UPC code. Finally with frustration I went across the street to Lowe’s, picked up my stuff and checked out in one minute. I suspect Home Depot will lose my entire remodel revenue simply because they can’t source a reasonable checkout staff."
