"I had a great time here today due to the personality of the employee who checked us out. I arrived with a friend to pick up his father's online order. The clerk was the same one who took the order and was told where we were coming from, so it was a bit of a surprise when we were asked how Wisconsin was. Not something we expected to hear while in Clinton, IA. It's really nice that people are willing to let their humor show!"

"Stopped in at Home Depot in Clinton to get straw. Looked in Garden Section, wasn't there so went asked for help. Customer service personal told me in garden center between wall & checkout. Just pointed towards door & continued to ignore me. Still not finding what I was looking for I left totally disappointed. Employees NOT very helpful"

"The usual go-to for all DIY materials, typically hassle free. Recently I've found that they will not honor the pricing online for various items, which is irritating when you've looked up an item and the cost, just to find it more expensive when I get to the checkout, I wouldn't care if the website specified online price only, other stores do this. Asking a salesperson is even more ridiculous, suggesting that I could have ordered online and picked up the same day for the better price. If I had known before I got to the store, obviously I would have. Should I leave and order and come back then? She said I could go order at one of the help desks. I just waited until it sunk in what she told me, and then she took the $20 off. Good grief."

"I would like to give a 5 star review at Home Depot to a sales associate named Darren Vos I purchased a microwave there a week ago and he walked me thru everything I needed to know , sold it to me at the desk in the back of the store and saved me a little bit of money on it . He truly went above the service that you normally would get at other stores and I believe he needed a shout out for excellent customer service. Thank you Michelle Mccluskey"

"Why is it so hard to get happy, willing service here? It's not always this way, but when it does happen, which it did this visit, it's so annoying. They used to most ALWAYS give great service and advice. This visit had young, apathetic, underenthused staff throughout the store. The blonde little girl at the service counter ticked me off so much that half way thru shopping, I noticed I was still ticked. Is what it is. That's why I love Amazon anymore. If what i need can wait another few days, I'm going for the better pricing and no cranky humans lol."
