Arden at Midtown GP Apartments

"A lot of these reviews are positive because these people do not live here... I was the first resident to move into this property back in November. Let's just say it has not been easy living here. The first month, I had SO many issues. A/C didn't work (it was still warm enough outside for my apartment to be hot without A/C) and it took them A WEEK to fix it. I had to be the one to constantly call everyday to make sure they hadn't forgot about it and all I would get was "he didn't go to your apartment yesterday?" Communication is terrible. They constantly came into my apartment to check the fire alarms (i mean 3 times in one week while i was working from home is too many times) and they didn't even know what they were looking for! When they need to come into your apartment, it's on THEIR schedule. Not yours so it doesn't matter what you are doing, if they need to get in they will. They messed up my smart lock so I couldn't lock my apartment door for a week. I don't care that there was only 2 residents living here. I should be able to lock my own apartment door. Still... they did not care because it wasn't their problem. My upstairs neighbor is constantly banging and dragging stuff all day and night and when I called to make a formal complaint (after sending 2 emails that no one responded to) I was told "what email did you send it to so I can look for it and read it to get more information on the matter". what does the email matter at this point if you have me on the phone? I was told I would be put on hold but I work from home and needed to get back to work so I asked if she could call me back, she said yes but of course she never did. After 3 months of living here, the elevator still doesn't work. No equipment is ready to be used in the gym. Pet spa is still TBD. Dog park is still TBD. People are saying theres nice amenities (that the residents are paying for) but we can't even use anything. Fire alarms are still being tested at the most random times with NO heads up. The girls up front are more worried about making Instagram Reels and getting people to sign a lease than worried about the residents that already live here. Just be prepared that once you sign your lease and start paying rent to this property, they won't care what you need. Mind you - I have moved into a new property before where the property was still under construction and it was not bad. Had an issue? Fixed within 24 hours, no questions asked. And what was even better was that I rarely had issues. New property should not mean constant problems and no solutions. I really could go on and on but I won't because this review is already very lengthy. It shouldn't be this hard and frustrating living in a brand new complex."

"I have lived on the property since November now and it has not been an easy adjustment. This is not the property for you if you are working from home/hybrid employee or if you have an anxious pup. I understand this complex is still under construction of some sorts and adjustments are still being made but the fire alarm will randomly go off on any given day. It will shut off after about 10-20 seconds and randomly cut back on after about 5 minutes. Again, on any. Given. Day. No one really has answers. No one gives you any warnings that there will be testing on the alarm that day. I will be in the middle of a work call and alarms will be sounding. At this point, I will never even know if there is a real fire. I was one of the first 2 residents on the property and there are no security gates surrounding this property but there are secure doors to enter the halls of the complex, the door closest to my unit has not worked for a good month or two now. The problem has been reported and all that is said is to use another door, contractors have been notified. Every other door in our building has been fixed but the one being reported as broken. As far as tours, I’m sure it is all amazing and beautiful but living on the property is a bit of a different story. Communication between staff and tenants is minimal."

"There's several new properties popping up in Grand Prairie but this one is a MUST GO TO! Such a beautiful property with a lot of unique floorplans to pick from, especially if you work from home! Love the leasing staff here as well which is HUGE when it comes to finding a place to call home! So happy to have found this gem!"
