"I find the other reviews very misleading..The home is in the second most crime ridden part of town on a notoriously dangerous street..The home is completely not monitored (no matter what they tell you), as the owner is not located in town and there is no staff on the premise . So basically you are sharing space with people who have not been verified (website says id match with cc check but its self check in and never done) in an non monitored space in a tough part of town. To me its a recipe for disaster and not worth the risk. The home is very sparse nearly empty and not even close to as warm and welcoming as the pics..The only positive is its cheap and relatively quiet. Its not a hostel ,its an air bnb like set up staying with random people without the normal security checks from airbnb.It attracted the types of people (use your imagination) you would imagine of the cheapest bed in town. Owner needs to make some changes to make it safe not just very profitable with such low costs."

"Lovely and cozy hostel with a really nice vibe. Clean rooms with comfy beds and enough towels. The bathroom was clean and they even provided shampoo and shower gel. There is a kitchen you can use and fridge big enough to store all your food you carry along your trip. One of the big highlights was the Patio in the front and a garden with hammocks. A real european style hostel in a nice neighborhood."

"Quaint little hostel just a bus ride away from downtown. The living room is bright, kitchen is big and clean, and there are hammocks strewn up in the living room and backyard, the latter having a cozy atmosphere in the evening with a fire pit and big chairs. The beds are comfortable and there is no shortage of outlets for charging an electronic device since there are power strips and blocks with multiple outlets. The bathroom has ample space which includes shampoo and body wash dispensers for guests. The host is really kind and helped answer some questions I had about the city's public transportation. I will definitely be back if I return to Austin! Thank you for the hospitality!"

"Really nice hostel with friendly managers. One of the cheapest places around. Definitely best for the amount they charge. Clean and comfortable with easy access to buses, trains, and restaurants within walking distance."

"My very first time staying at a hostel. Had a good experience, felt safe here. Love the privacy for the female's dorms, everything was clean and is quiet at night. FOR OTHER FEMALES OVERTHINKING IT DON'T :)"
