CareNow Urgent Care - McAllen

"Overall just a very bad experience. I signed in online, received a text they were ready for me to walk in, when i walked in I was told it was it was going to be an hour and a half wait. I waited longer. I dont understand then why they told me the fastest way was to register online. I was tested for covid and was never given my results i had to return to address thia issue and was told it was in my paperwork but it wasnt, i then had to wait longer for them to get my results and share them with me."

"They care nothing about patients safety or their own for that matter. Covid testing is provided here yet everyone is together in a small waiting room. Staff are being exposed to positive covid patients yet they are not wearing masks. The patients are also not required to wear masks even with symptoms. Not once did I see staff wipe or spray seating area even though people were coming out positive for covid. When I raised this concern to Jennifer at the front desk, she just shrugged her shoulders and said it's not her problem not her rules."

"Absolutely no care. On two occasions now we've gone to CareNow for treatment. "Dr" has only critized care received from others & told us yes we're ill but won't prescribe anything for symptoms or treatment. Perfectly happy to take your $ but provide no care. Oh and be prepared to WAIT, even with no one else there."

"Sloooooooowwwwwwww. Very slow. Not urgent care. They do not care how long they keep you waiting. They told us it was going to be an hour wait. They called one person in 30 minutes and there are still at least 3 other people waiting. Not sure what the order is since we had to wait to check in until they verified we were in network and by that time 2 other people got in front of us. We had checked before to make sure we were in Network but they did not recognize the insurance and took at least 10 minutes to verify which made us wait longer… I think they need more doctors for the amount of people waiting and how much time we waste sitting. Kids get fussy after a while especially if they are sick. Learn your audience! Get more people through by being efficient. Will never go there again."

"The PA at this location, Alma Jimenez, is amazing. She is friendly, listens to what you have to say, and shows that she genuinely cares about her patients. The facility is modern and clean, and my wait time wasn’t bad. I only wish I could find a provider in the community that I liked this much. She is by far the best provider I have seen since moving to the Valley a year ago. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
