"For being away from my home & mountains, the state park and all of its trails has really helped me balance. Once you understand this mountain and all the variations you can walk, run or bike.. it’s a really fun place to spend time in nature."

"This was actually a very pleasant surprise. The website for this park really doesn't do it justice. It's very, very small, but in spite of this they managed to produce around 7 to 8 miles of very enjoyable walking/hiking trails. It's also very easy to find from I-20. Google says that this is a 24 hour park, but that is not the case. Its open to the public from 8am to 10pm. There is no fee for entry, no check-in process. There is a playground up by the rangers headquarters if you have kids. The view is amazing all around on the paved trail, which runs much higher than the more primitive outer loop trail. The outer loop trail brings you closer to nature than does the paved loop trail."

"Beautiful winding trail that leads to a great view over looking as far as the eye can see. Got a little scary when the road and the cliff got close. lol I am not a fan of heights so I wasn't looking then but if you aren't afraid of heights, I bet that was a good view too."

"I recently got a mountain bike and decided to put it to use. This park has a lot to explore. There are walking paths, trails, and scenery. You can sit in the shade at the pavilion (which I took advantage of). It’s pretty hot out here. But it’s beautiful."
