"Was trying to find a "family practice" locally. When I called and explained a situation, person who answered was friendly enough at first but when I questioned why I had to fill out an application for US to choose a doctor, things changed... Have never heard of having to do this. Was dismissed when trying to go into a bit more detail of our situation and pretty much hung up on. Was never rude to the person that answered, she just could have cared less what I had to say. Not interested in going the extra mile to even try the doctors at this practice if this is how a potential patient is treated before you can even walk in the place. Who knows, they might be decent doctors....."

"It’s been 4 days and the doctor still never sent over my prescription to my pharmacy and whenever I call they tell me they sent a note to the doctor. They also never call you back for anything. What kind of doctors office is this. They are so unorganized and the front desk staff are always so clueless. Makes you wonder what they do all day! This is ridiculous! I’m definitely finding a new doctor ASAP!!!"

"They can never give me my allergy shot and I am getting progressively sicker and sicker we went yesterday and I couldn’t get it, because I felt bad because of my allergies, and we came in at 4:25 after they said we need to be there by 4:30 and the receptionist put me in for Monday not today so I have to wait until Monday to get my shot. I would never recommend this place under any circumstance."

"I have had nothing but pleasent experiences with everyone at this practice. The level of care and customer service my family has recieved from the staff has always been exceptional, as it should be. Dr. Hauptmeier was overseeing the care of my son when he was admitted to the pediatric ICU for a week for severe respiratory distress when he was just over a year old. I was highly impressed with the level of care she provided, she would stop in multiple times throughout the day and review how he was doing and communicated what her plan of care was and shared any concerns with our family as well as the rest of my sons medical team of specialists in San Antonio. She always made sure to answer any questions and never made me feel like she was in a hurry to get to any other patients she may have had. When we were admitted into the hospital I called my sons primary care provider and left a message letting him know that we were in the ICU. I had expected him to stop by and check on us or call to see how he was doing at the very least but after being in the hospital for 8 days we still had not had any contact from his regular provider. The disappointment of his doctor made it a clear and obvious decision to move our family to Dr. Hauptmeier's practice, and we have received the same exceptional care consistently for the last couple years. I absolutely recommend Uvalde Family Practice to anyone I know that has mentioned finding a new/local provider."
