Stat Specialty Hospital-Del Rio

"I had never had an issue with this clinic, I love the staff working here. But I took both my daughters to get tested for a strep virus which they both came back positive. The Rn Nurse Tamara Harper had told me they would lay my daughters down to get a shot mind you they are 2 and 3 years old. With that said I trusted them, thinking they would lay them down and hold them down. I was holding my 2 year old and behind me they decided to give my 3 year old a shot standing up. Not only did my daughter grab the needle and scrapped her butt cheek causing her to bleed. But they didn't even have the decency to notifity, they just covered her up.until I checked my daughter and requested a bandaid from her which up until then she still did not acknowledge or apologize for the incident."

"Staff is wonderful, doctors however have gotten lazy. Instead of doing their own research they go based of what you are telling them. My daughter had pneumonia and it was diagnosed by another doctor from another local facility. Thank god I got a second opinion. Do not go here it is a wasted of time and money!"

"Took my mother to the hospital to get checked for she had a sharp pain but they had no rooms available to we were waiting for about an hour at the ER. I decided to take her to STAT and they quickly attended her. The staff was very friendly and helpful."

"Do not go here for your emergency. I took my girlfriend for abdominal pain, history gallbladder issues. She was in crying writhing pain, and the ER seemed okay at first. They got her back pretty quick and we didn't have to wait for the doctor to long. Her vitals were dangerously high for a resting position and the Doctor did perform a decent assessment. We don't have insurance and they don't take Medicare or medicaid. They didn't run any CT, Ultrasounds, blood work, or EKG'S. She did have chest pain and radiation of pain throughout her chest and abdomen. They bring back a sheet stating you pay the bill upfront or signout AMA (Against medical advice). They won't treat you unless you can pay or it's designated an emergency. They don't run test to figure out if it's an emergency or not before they ask you to pay."

"Simply put, they are amazing! I had to bring my 2 year old in because she was very sick, and had been for a couple of days. They brought us to the back so quickly, we didn’t even have time to sit down in the waiting room! They didn’t make us wait long at all for any of the tests. They diagnosed her with pneumonia and RSV right away, got her meds and really put my mind at ease. As at ease as a new mama can be with a toddler who has pneumonia and RSV. The nurses were lovely and so sweet to my daughter as well. The building was extremely clean and orderly. I would highly recommend STAT for an emergency over anywhere else in Del Rio or surrounding areas."
