"I was immediately impressed by the very welcoming staff. Ken greeted me with an instant mood enhancing smile as soon as the elevator doors opened. When I gave my last name, she surprised me by saying my first name without looking at the screen. Nothing says welcome and we are glad you are here like that type of personalized service. The King rooms have the perfect mix between high end features and functional elements. Here you don’t have to choose between having a well designed, nicely decorated room and having a fridge large enough to store your leftovers and a microwave to heat them up."

"Ideal location to 6th street without having to be in all the madness. A nice happy hour M-Th and decent breakfast included. The coffee shop on the first floor has awesome pastries. Staff is very helpful especially at check in. Ask for Christine! My only negative is that it is a bit pricey but what isn't in Austin these days?"

"Excellent hotel with excellent breakfast. Christina at reception was absolutely a gem. Her enthusiasm and kindness was exactly what you want when you check in. She even wished me well in a presentation I had to give. I have never felt so well cared for as a customer. I wish everyone e was like Christina at hotel check in. She really wanted me to enjoy all the amenities. That felt great. I can’t say enough great things about her."

"Love this hotel and location is great too. Bar areas are fun and everything is clean and like new. Roomy bathrooms, larger mini fridge so everything fits and the laminate floors are really nice to keep room tidy and for those of us with allergies, and did I say really clean??Because everything is really clean! What a great young lady Christine is, as she was kind enough to send a little Texas welcome to our room, she must have read my mind! When we checked in yesterday Greyson was really nice and answered our all our questions. Loved the room and the few 1408 and the kitchen area is a bonus too. The Valet is friendly and fast/efficient..We love Marriott bonus points per night right now so this was a win win for us"

"Cleanliness of the room can be improved. There were several bits of dust and dirt left over from previous guests (lots of white specks of dust and a used dried contact lens on the floor). The shower head is not easy to use and the water spilled through the door when shower, cause puddle of water outside the shower room. Other than that, the service provided by the team was excellent. Christine has been very helpful and patient whenever we approached her. She made us feel welcome. The overall decor of the hotel is very nice and calming. A very comfortable stay, highly recommend."
