"I have been here for a while now visiting on and off and I have seen a difference in the last few months. I have noticed that the outside areas look so much cleaner than they did before. The new manager is really pulling it together. I have actually recommended this location to a family member who is coming down next week. Customer service is top notch for me. Great job to the new manager and his team!"

"Lulu at the front desk is a godsend. She was there to help thru the entire process and even took time out of her busy schedule to contact supervision about fixing my problems. If I go back to the hotel it will be due to her willingness to help and sweet demeanor. Thanks lulu!"

"This is probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. I stayed two nights and those were the longest two days I’ve ever experienced. The room was very dirty. The laminate floors were sticky and looked like they were never mopped or cleaned. The bed spread looked dirty. The bathtub also looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. I had a non-smoking room, but the room reeked of cigarettes and smoke. It was awful. The only positive thing about the hotel was that the location is close to downtown and is near many restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, this doesn’t make up for the poor and dirty condition of the hotel. The hotel seemed to have many shady people. There were guys hanging outside my hotel window in the back of the building on Friday night playing loud music and smoking weed. I was in Austin for a funeral and didn’t have the time and energy to get another hotel, but I would encourage others to not stay here and just pay the extra costs of a nicer hotel. I will never stay at this hotel or a Woodspring Suites ever again."

"Do not let any negative comments that you read here dissuade you from staying at this hotel such as people wandering the parking lot and drug dealing like mentioned in a previous review. I went out for the night and got back to the room at around 1:00 am (on a Monday). I didn't witness anything nefarious transpiring. No shady people milling about as someone mentioned or anything that made me think that it was not safe. Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. Floors were in need of mopping. There were stains on the bathtub. I go to Austin several times per year. This was the first time that I stayed at this hotel and I will definitely stay here again, 100 percent!! I almost didn't stay here because of the previously mentioned comments but decided to give them a chance. Glad that I did!!"

"I've been at this hotel for a few months now and I've honestly never had any problems with anything. the staff is always nice and accommodates me in anyway they can. in my experience, the hotel is overall very clean and well ran. I especially like the front desk people. also the housekeeping are always doing their job quietly and have never woke me up knocking on my door. plus there's always somebody at the front desk to help. I would assume most bad reviews left would be from people that were asked to leave for causing problems."
