"Be aware, this hotel has no parking. Pick one of the garages nearby. The check in desk is on the 2nd floor. We arrived at 4:30 pm, 2 1/2 hours after the stated check in time. Guests are stacked up all over lobby, waiting, because they are “a little bit late on check in.” Been waiting here for over 30 minutes, they have checked in maybe 3 guests, and the rest of us are sitting here waiting waiting for a room. Haven’t even seen the room yet, but I’ll be honest, the chances of me booking with this chain again are pretty much zero."

"My recent stay at CitizenM was nothing short of a nightmare, marked by multiple security breaches, unprofessional service, a complete lack of housekeeping, and abysmal customer service. Upon my return to the room, I was alarmed to find the door ajar, evidently left open by the housekeeping staff. Despite reaching out to the management with my concerns, the response was wholly inadequate. Instead of addressing the severity of the security breach, the management offered a mere complimentary breakfast, which I was unable to enjoy due to work commitments. Moreover, my inquiries about the duration the door remained open went unanswered, further exacerbating my concerns for safety. Adding insult to injury, I witnessed a housekeeping staff member disregarding safety protocols by using a trash can to prop open a door, despite previous assurances to the contrary. This blatant negligence underscores the lack of professionalism prevalent throughout the establishment. It's worth noting that I was explicitly told by one of their staff members that doors should not be propped open in such a manner, highlighting the inconsistency in their own safety standards. On top of that, the following day saw no housekeeping service whatsoever, leaving the room in disarray and amenities unattended. Additionally, when I approached a staff member regarding the lack of housekeeping, I couldn't shake the feeling of being treated differently, which only added to my frustration. While other guests received friendly and attentive service, I sensed a noticeable lack of hospitality, perhaps due to my demographic, as I perceived a blank expression from a few employees. Nevertheless, amidst these shortcomings, it's important to acknowledge the positives. Jim, who initially fielded my concerns, stood out as he seemed to be the most empathetic and someone who genuinely tried to help. Additionally, the room itself boasted decent accommodations, with swift check-in/out procedures and convenient control options through the iPad interface. It's evident that the hotel has potential, especially with its efficient use of technology in guest rooms. However, this potential is unfortunately overshadowed by the glaring deficiencies in customer service and operational oversight elsewhere in the establishment. Overall, my experience here was poor. From security lapses to unprofessional service, and from a lack of housekeeping to bad customer service, this hotel failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. I strongly caution prospective guests against booking a stay at this establishment, as the overall experience falls far short of expectations."

"This wasn’t my first citizenM, and this didn’t disappoint! If you haven’t been, you can do almost everything through their app (including controlling the TV and lights!). The staff are super friendly and helpful, and their breakfast is quite good. The room is super cute, bed is quite comfortable as well as the bedding. There are about 6 hangers to use, and a drawer under the bed. They supply decent shampoo and conditioner which is appreciated! Honestly they didn’t disappoint and can’t wait to stay again."

"Really liked the vibe of the hotel and the thoughtful design of the tiny rooms. Kind of made me feel like I was living in a tiny pod. The hotel is brand new so I was surprised to see that the “day curtain” didn’t work. The ability to chrome cast was nice. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they were there to support you as you self checked in and out. Went up to te top floor to check out the rooftop bar and pool but it was locked."

"Stayed here about a week after it opened. This is my first time staying at a Citizen M and I really enjoyed the artsy, sexy, young, hip vibe. Would recommend staying here if adults, maybe not so much for children. The value is excellent for location, however please advise that the rooms are quite small. Thankfully myself and my friend only had backpacks and a purse, but if we had standard check-in size luggage it would definitely have been very cramped. I enjoyed the high tech features of the room (electric blinds, neon lights in the room) however we did have some kinks streaming our chromecast. There's no parking at the hotel, but on the same block right next to it there was a pay to park garage for a rate of $33 which was quite convenient. The elevators were out but fixed by night. Just seemed odd that those issues were present on opening week. The staff was very friendly. Overall would stay here again. At the end of the day, think the value was good given the great/safe location. I would stay here again."
