"I had a good experience at the Aloft, but the thing that made it great was Hollie, who runs the bar. She’s been a bartender for a lonnng time and knows exactly what she’s doing, and she’s a delight. A very real and welcoming person in an otherwise somewhat sterile and corporate environment. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, the bar is worth a drink. And there’s a pool table!"

"Wow, were we impressed. I highly recommend this place. Great rooms. A bar that serves food. Beautiful pool. Excellent stay for a reasonable price."

"Everything regarding this stay was amazing. All staff members were wonderful. The room reserved was amazing. Very spacious and clean upon arrival. The best part of the visit was definitely meeting Hollie. She was an amazing bartender. Who catered to both my boyfriend and I needs. She was very personable, friendly as well as very versed to many different beverage options. She worked above and beyond and it was very much appreciated. Will definitely be one of the many reason I will use Aloft in South Austin again!"

"I am a Bonvoy member and periodically stay at the different Marriott along South 35 for a staycation. Compared to the other ones on the strip, the only reason I couldn't give this place 5 stars is because of the noise. As previously people already mentioned, the walls are extremely thin so you can hear all the sounds that comes with being right next to a highway. The heater is also kind of loud which means you have to have the volume up on your TV which I don't like because I don't want to disturb others. The other downside was the coffee was actually pretty bad and I don't consider myself picky when it comes to coffee. Rooms are small and cozy which I like, however you have to go to the lobby if you want to use a microwave since the rooms only come with a mini fridge. Also, they don't charge you for parking which is a huge bonus, since they last place I stayed charged, but they don't tell you that on the website or when you book online. All interactions with the staff were very nice and I appreciate the eye contact (which I know is a culture preference). Shout out to Jose and Kimberly at the front desk for being friendly versus the typical bare minimum interaction that we now see post-Covid with customer-facing employees. I will definitely be coming here again."

"Nice new hotel. Room was fine. Staff was fine. Location is pretty bad. Area is a complete dump, there is homeless people sleeping in the shrubs and no restaurants or anywhere nice to walk to. You won’t feel safe walking around this hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again. Edit: After staying here for a few days, I feel this is a one star. The staff and rooms are still fine - but this area is a complete disaster. The state police were literally executing a raid with full body armor and assault teams on an adjacent property. It is not safe here-I can’t think of any reason why anyone would want to stay here."
