Courtyard by Marriott Austin The Domain Area

"Traveler warning: Your reservation means nothing. I booked a room at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin The Domain Area 3 weeks in advanced. My flight landed late and arrived at hotel around 11 p.m. The front desk person said I'm sorry, but we're fully booked and don't have a room for you even though I had a reservation. They said Marriott overbooks and unfortunately nothing they can do. I had to use the Residence Inn which was behind the Courtyard which is worn down and gross. They even charged me the same rate which is absurd as its not the same class of hotel. I tried to call corporate Marriott customer service and they also couldn't help. Maybe this happened as I arrived late that evening but not fun to look for a hotel around midnight so think about especially if you're arrival is late."

"I was locked out of our hotel room in the late evening. The key card did not work, and the hotel employee said maintenance would not be in until the morning to come and fix it. He did not offer to give me another room, so I sat in the lobby all night. I forgot to mention that the hotel employee was asleep when I went to tell him about my card. We were staying one night because our baby was in the NICU at the hospital nearby, so we were hoping to get a little rest before heading back to the NICU in the morning. We loved the hotel rooms, but this was a really unfortunate situation that could have been remedied."

"My stay here was GREAT! The staff was friendly and welcoming, from the front desk staff to the housekeepers. The room was very clean. I will definitely be staying at this location again when I return to Austin, as well as highly recommend this location to family and friends. This location was in a great area! The hotel was close to restaurants, night life, and shopping centers! The front desk staff member Amanda was so nice and kind! She was professional and courtesy. Aubrey was also very kind. She checked me in and was very informative. They made my stay here very easy and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at this Courtyard by Marriott location"

"Hotel is good and clean. Staff is courteous. Would recommend to manage your breakfast. They do not have typical breakfast arrangements what we usually see in such places. The menu is limited and you will be provided with a coupon if breakfast included in your package."

"We were delighted with front desk, our room and the peace and quiet. Comfy bed and clean, safe environment. Construction is still ongoing but that never affected our stay. We’ll utilize this property again"
