Lake Austin Spa Resort

"As a travel advisor. I have traveled all over the world. The Lake Austin Spa Resort is one of my favorites for a girls getaway. Perfect place to just get away, relax, go to the spa, and catch up with friends. The food was fantastic. The people were so helpful and friendly including Denis who was always there for whatever we needed, Nick you never had to ask for a refill he was on it, Marybeth and Reid were always friendly and attentive. Josh and Lauren at the FRONT DESK did the same. Whether we needed floss, a package shipped, or something as easy as a change to our schedule . The activities were great. They included, watercolor, yoga, breathing class, barre class, hikes and we also added an additional sunset cruise, which I highly recommend with Paula. She was very educated about Lake Austin, which was very interesting. The spa facilities were great although the steam shower was broken. When I meandered to the garden, Jackie, the gardener found me and gave me a private tour of the garden and me on the medicinal plants and herbs that they grow for the restaurant. There were so many nooks and crannies that you could just hide and get away from people. I loved spending time reading a book on the hammock."

"I got to spend the day at the Lake Austin Spa property with multiple family members and it was wonderful from start to finish. The massage that Sophia gave was strong, as I had requested. The lunch starters and main course were healthy and tasty and the flourless chocolate cake with berries and creme fraiche was fantastic. They have self service tea and coffee stations probably enjoyed 8 cups of tea throughout the day, along with other fruit and nuts and a delightful afternoon cookie. I'm so relaxed and my body feels great. What a great place to reset!"

"I came to the resort for a two night staycation from Austin, and it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself! The staff are all amazing, remember you and your stories, and offer personal touches throughout your stay. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and quiet with individual patio spaces—it feels like the most luxurious adult summer camp! At first, I thought I might just bliss out solo and read for three days in a comfortable spot and EAT, but I ended up meeting fabulous other travelers who became dining companion and friends during all the activities—there’s so many! The food was really spectacular at every meal with tons and tons of options, and the front of house staff were all so gracious and accommodating. We met Chef Eric one night, who was also so happy to sing the well-deserved praises of his staff. My goal was to bliss out on vacation and not think about anything, and that’s what I got! A fully inclusive, sublime experience that was one of the most rewarding vacations I’ve had as an adult (it was worth every penny!)"

"Wonderful experience at the Lake Austin Spa Resort with an Umlauf Sculpture Garden event. The rainy evening did not deter the amazing chef from creating a fabulous paella! Staff support was phenomenal in adjusting to the unplanned (but welcomed) rain! What a gorgeous location. My first visit!"

"Lake Austin Spa Resort never disappoints. I’ve been frequenting for years and recently visited in September-it’s better than ever! Lots of added amenities and icing on top to make guests even more comfortable-new bar feature in outdoor dining area, wine bar in the gift shop, revamped menu with so much variety, new activities, beautifully remodeled pool area and finishing touches in rooms. New spa services added to the already extensive menu with lots of Texas details. The service was even better than I’d remembered, and I truly felt like I was transported to a little piece of paradise. Can’t wait to return. If you haven’t visited, it’s a must, and if you have, it’s definitely worth going back. Lake Austin Spa Resort exceeds all expectations, and for the price-you really can’t beat it! Great for solo, couples or group!"
