"This is a great lodge. I had to book something last minute, and they were able to accommodate me at a fair price. The front desk receptionist was personable and funny, so check in was pleasant. The overall feel was very charming, and exactly what I wanted for my first night in Texas. An added bonus was they had the western channel, so I was able to watch Gunsmoke on TV before going to bed. Anyone who left less than 5 stars is probably a city slicker from New York, so please ignore their reviews. Come support a local business. You won't be disappointed."
"Loved this place, 5 stars. The setting (gorgeous mtn views overlooking the pool), the spacious rustic rooms, and the genuine staff at the front desk made such a difference. The lobby is even beautiful with high ceilings where you eat breakfast: was decorated tastefully for the holidays. I will recommend to family when in town. Thank you so much for high customer service. Safe too!!"
"I was there for the Thanksgiving Holidays. The accommodations were good. The hotel is a little old but very charming. When I checked in, the young lady assisting me checked my room to make sure it was clean and ready. The room was comfortable and had everything that I needed. The location was perfect and easy to navigate. The staff was pleasant and I would definitely stay here again."
"Enjoyed staying there and the service was excellent. Alexa went above and beyond in several areas and when we needed help she was so polite and professional that we never felt like a burden. She was incredible and so was the view from our room. The breakfast was great and there was quite a bit to choose from including hardboiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, fresh waffles and more."
"The place needs better maintenance. The tubs are peeling, I had to request that the trash cans by the pool be emptied, the breakfast bar was not cleaned in a timely manner after breakfast. Food prep stuff was still dirty and sitting there at 5 pm. The place is poorly staffed. The front desk person is also the maid service. We were with several families and many reported that their rooms were not adequately cleaned. The ac in many of the rooms was not adequately cooling. My sister had to change rooms because thw room that she had booked did not have a functioning ac. The location is bomb! Right across the street from Target and Home Depot and located closely between 2 HEB's. Great scenic views and closely located to the lake!"
