Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas The Colony

"Do NOT stay here if you’re a Diamond member. This property will treat you awful and evade accountability on all fronts. To preface, this hotel is not a Hilton property. It’s owned by Atlantic Hotel Group and is legally allowed to operate under the Hilton name because it’s a franchise so they treat Diamond members awful. If you have any issues, you have to contact Atlantic Hotel Group as contacting Hilton customer service will reroute you to the general manager at this establishment, Tamara Price, who is awful. I spent over $6k at this hotel and Tamara accused me of things I didn’t do, wouldn’t fix an issue with a dog barking in the room above me for 4 days straight until I had to report it to corporate, and completely denied my requests for when I asked if maitenance and housekeeping could come at specific times due to my work schedule. She asked why I wanted them to come at certain times and she allowed her employee Deborah at the front desk to be rude to me since check in. I stayed at this hotel for almost 2 months. I never met Tamara nor Deborah and was always treated with an attitude by them and no follow through on anything. Tamara also overcharged me for my stay after I’ve added up the totals 13 times and will not refund me for the amount I should be refunded. She won’t add up the totals on her own and keeps claiming it’s correct when it’s not, nor has she done the math herself. The regional manager Lindsey with Atlantic Hotel Group lets her get away with this also. I have never been treated so poorly after spending so much money at an establishment. My experience here was awful and I highly recommend to NOT stay here especially if you’re a Diamond member. Also, the towels and sheets were covered in blood stains my entire stay, which was never addressed after I spoke up about it. Avoid this hotel at all costs and their incompetence."

"I don’t want to leave this review, because I’d prefer not to have it booked up when I’m looking to stay in the future! New. Clean. Big rooms. Friendly staff. Awesome location. Fabulous breakfast (just get there more than 30 minutes before it closes if you want all of the selections). Our group was shushed a little too aggressively at 10.45 on a Friday evening. (We certainly were being loud! I just would have preferred a first time gentle request to be quiet in the lobby at that time on a weekend night.) We go to the area for the same event every year, and I’ll be booking at this location every time."

"I have stayed at this hotel many times. This morning when I showered I noticed the shampoo was GREEN, watered down and it had a terrible smell. We traveled with others and I confirmed their shampoo was clear not green. As I saw housekeeping I noticed that the shampoos they had were also not green. When I went downstairs to checkout I told the front desk employee that the shampoo was tampered with and needed to be changed. She asked me if I had notified them when I noticed. I said that was this morning and I’m notifying you right now. She did not seem at all concerned. This is completely disgusting and unacceptable."

"Loved my stay at this hotel! It was very clean and welcoming and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a corner room so it was already bigger than the average room here but it was also an ADA room. Lots of space! The bed was comfy, the room stayed cold, and the shower had great pressure. My two issues were that the walls/ceilings/floors were very thin and you could hear everything. Thankfully I wear earplugs, which helped. Also, the connecting door had a big gap under it so the sound was even louder. Second, the bench in the shower didn’t stay up, thereby cutting the shower space in half. I suggest adding in some kind of snap or magnet for it to keep it up against the wall when not in use. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay here again!"

"This is a brand new hotel in a great area. Gorgeous. However, they raised my room rate from $240 to $343 without authorization or a signature. They asked if I'd like to be on the same floor as my colleagues. I said yes because we share a rental car and being on the same floor makes it easy to get the keys from one another. When I discovered this billing error, they sent me to their HQ. HQ sent me back to the hotel and so on. I never got any help after serveral calls, emails and messages. Now I'm out of compliance at work and will have to pay the difference out of my own pocket. The facility is great but this means of raising rates is underhanded and unethical. I can't recommend them or any Homewood Suites as a result. There's a brand new Hampton Inn right next to this property that's equally as nice, new, and convenient. I suggest you stay there so you can avoid the situation I experienced. Good luck."
