"Roaches. This is the second time we stayed at this inn to rest for the night just before we cross to Mexico to visit family. It’s not bad but this time around the service was rude and there were roaches. I haven’t written reviews in a very long time and I’m not super tech savvy to find the link to post a picture for proof. It was not a tiny roach, it was one of the big ones and it showed up on the shower curtain as I was showering."

"Great stay! Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, pool was clean! We had to make last minute changes to our reservation and Sam was so great! He was patient and understanding and helped us out so much. Definitely will stay here again when in the San Benito/Harlingen Area."

"Came to the valley for a family emergency. Staff was excellent. They were kind. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Water supply was excellent. I have saved this address on my phone. Will be staying here again in the near future. Also at night outside was quiet.- Juana"

"I was very impressed on the hospitality and great customer service that Joe(the night attendant) delivered to me and my family. You don’t see that trait in people anymore. I have traveled to many states and have stayed at several hotels but never have I felt treated with such compassion at a hotel. My night was going awful and had been traveling over 28hrs from North Carolina. Everywhere else I called I felt rush off the phone, had no vacancy, and one guy even told me he couldn’t hold my reservation unless I paid double the regular price. So as I was driving looking for a hotel for me and my family to stay in, i stumble into the Lone Star Inn. There I was treated like a human being and not just a number. I recommend my fellow travelers to stay here. It’s clean, comfortable, and staff is very courteous. Place felt safe which is good when you are traveling with wife and kids.Thanks Joe for making my experience one I will always remember"
