"You need to stay here for at least three days. The units were all designed and built by your host, Cynta de Narvaez; Big Bend savant extraordinaire. With only minor tweaks this complex could be featured in Architectural Digest magazine. If located in Santa Fe it would be the "go to" place to stay...for several times what Cynta charges. Cynta has spent half of her life in Big Bend country as a river guide, archaeologist, innkeeper. She is a fountain of knowledge on all things Big Bend. She is observant of your travel interests and will suggest activities that are well matched to those interests. Look, people who live here year round must sacrifice a LOT of the conveniences most of us take for granted. The isolation is the sacrifice they make in order to live in an environment that they dearly love. Cynta's place is joyous. Come enjoy it."

"Villa Terlingua radically exceeded our expectations. I hike with a group of friends almost every year in Big Bend and have stayed both in the Chisos and near Terlingua. Villa Terlingua is the ONLY place we will stay from now on. Location is phenomenal, scenery is outstanding and the accommodations are beyond fantastic. But best of all was meeting the beautiful owner Cynta. In a trip full on fun and adventure, Cynta was the HIGHLIGHT!!! "This is absolutely THE place to stay in Terlingua. My husband and I eloped in the area last week, and stayed in the Guest House. The house is gorgeous and so unique! The views from the outdoor daybed and the patio couch are AMAZING. We even decided to stay home one day rather than venture into the park, because we enjoyed relaxing there so much. I was worried about having to get ready for our elopement ceremony in the little bathroom, but it was so cozy and absolutely perfect. When we got back to the room after eloping/taking pictures, Cynta had decorated the room with flowers, towel swans and prosecco. I was absolutely not expecting anything like that and it was really touching that she went out of her way to do something special for us on our day. Cynta is an absolute angel! We also loved being able to walk to the Starlight Theatre for dinner! I could literally go on and on about the perks of this place. We can’t wait to visit again soon and stay in the Main House with our family!"
