"We enjoyed our stay here. The lounge is a great way to hang out and meet others passing through. The HVAC and fridge in our room was quite loud all night long. Bring wall chargers."

"Really awesome rooms and the surroundings. There has been so much thought put into the design of the room and the architecture. It’s a gem!"

"The patio area was great for late night hangs with kids and friends. We roasted marshmallows and looked at the stars. Made a good home base in Marfa as we saw art and went out of town for hikes."

"I have stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed my stay however, this time I think they are letting the facility slide a bit. The shower leaked out of the tub on the floor. You can only put the air conditioner as low as 72° The dimmer next to the bed did not work. The light switch on the other side of the bed didn’t work at all And it is a pretty sparse room for over $200 a night. Will look somewhere else."

"My experience at the Thunderbird made me realize why people love Marfa. The hotel is in a great location and has a simple quirky vibe. The pool area is very beautiful and serene. I spent a whole afternoon here and the longer I stayed the more beauty I noticed in the trees and landscaping. The staff here is also amazing and really made my stay! I walked in looking for a same-day reservation and Angela (the best!) helped me find a room here and at their sister hotel the Antelope Lodge in Alpine. She was really patient and even called the manager at the Antelope Lodge to make my booking over the phone. She was really knowledgeable about the rooms at both locations. Then she gave me a cooler to borrow for the weekend so I could have cold beverages by the pool. How cool is that? I can’t wait to come back."
