"I enjoyed the experience. Reminiscent of the weekend camping trips when I was 10 years old. I planned ahead of time for the brutal sun and brought reflective coverings and positioned my tent east/west. Instead of building a fire in the grill, I made a canned heat stove using a stainless steel utensil holder. Just right for coffee, oatmeal, and soup!!!"

"This campsite was very large, and covered patio made it nice for shade when the temperature in mid-October hit over 100º F on the canyon floor. There is plenty of space for tents and everyone was respectful of noise after 10 pm. Thanks also to TPWD for installing three porta-potties - made a HUGE difference in comfort levels for us."
