"Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and the poor quality of the items that they offer here. We purchased $10,000 in furniture from this store and one year and one month later we have a sectional that has come apart at the seam and a side table that has veneer peeling at the corner. The sofa we purchased a protection plan on because sofas naturally encounter a lot more possibilities for damage (although this part of our sectional is a part we do not even use where the seam ripped). Tables we expect to have normal wear and tear, so did not do a protection plan, but this is a clear defect. We noticed the problem two weeks ago and found out that the table is just one month outside of the warranty period. Had I called at the time it would have been just 17 days out of the warranty period. However, with the holidays I had been too busy to call. I was informed that I could pay $100 for one of their people to come out and LOOK at the damage and assess it. I would understand if I were months out of the warranty period, but being this close is really unbelievable. They responded that they simply cannot do anything because we didn't purchase the protection plan. I was amazed at how poor the quality is that of the three pieces we purchased two have defective components that require us to get repairs in just over 1 year. Due to the poor customer service, we will not be purchasing from them again. I would caution anyone from considering Havertys based on the poor worksmanship of their products and the very disappointing customer service."
