Walgreens Pharmacy

"This was always my favorite pharmacy, since way back when it was actually IN Turfland mall, they even had a great restaurant (or fountain as we called them) I actually worked in the previous building on that corner that they are now. I ate lunch there, all my pictures developed there. To bring it up to present day, to the current location. It was nothing to see me there in the middle of the night shopping or Christmas morning for last minute stocking stuffers. I feel like since the Rite Aid merge something has gone very wrong. The Employees are very friendly and helpful, even greet everyone coming in. The issues is the pricing has skyrocketed and the clearance and sale pricies are very rediculous. The buy one get one 50% off is a new marketing idea that I have seen everywhere. But the buy one price is way more than any other store and the rules are so strict, I can see anyone falling for them. The shelves are marked all the way with through with the special deal. I used to shop for mostly health and beauty item there, but I feel like I can get two of that item somewhere else for less than the price of their ONE. The strict part for example lets say Vitamins. You can't just pick out a bottle of Vitamin C and another one with B12, it is almost like you have to buy 2 vitamin C's. I get they can require the same brand, but I don't know about anyone else, but with this example, I don't need a life time supply of Vitamin C (the first bottle would probably be a waste in my cabinet anyway :) They have one endcap with clearance items and nothing has a price. If I really need it and lug it around until I go to pay and everytime I am told, someone must have placed it over there. It usually looks like it has been sitting around from back in the Turfland days an there is ususally more than one on the shelf. Any lotion type item I have purchased are so old they smell so sour that I have to throw them out. The Cologne is sky high, they have one there always on sale for about 49.99, most stores have it for 19.99 at all times and even if it is like a Ross, I am sure Walgreens is a lot older. It is unfortunate that I have to change pharmacies, even tough I have always bragged on their staff and Pharmicist for their efficiency and I have a lot of trust in them. BUT again, the cost is way out of line. I wonder how the Merchanding/Buyers come up with these prices, as if they don't want or need to sell anything."

"This is one of the few pharmacies in Lexington that is open late and has extended hours on weekends. So, anyone who’s sick at night in this part of town is going to come here. They are really busy and very crowded, but soooo efficient. I really appreciate those extended hours- I’ve had sick kids the past two weekends, and they have saved us! I don’t come here regularly- I go to a less-busy pharmacy for regular medicine needs, but this place will always be my go-to for off-hours, and I’m grateful for that!"

"YOU ASSIGN A DELIVERY DRIVER WHEN YOU'RE CLOSED........ CONGRATULATIONS ON LOSING PROBABLY ANOTHER DRIVER!!!!!! PEOPLE GET TIRED OF WASTING THEIR FUEL AND LOYALTY OVER UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANIES.... "Was gunna be a 1 star but Ashley saved them! Poor customer service and wait time was horrible at the beginning. Felt like we stood there for a while before being acknowledged. Thanks to the two ladies towards the end of our experience for being awesome and helpful!!"
