"Hello soon to be residents or those looking for a new home. I've been a resident at SOVA for a couple of months now,so I'm still trying to settle in,but I'm going to give credit to a hard working young man that works in the maintenance department ALONE for the most part! My bath tub was an absolute mess,but Thank God to Kendall the maintenance man it is in TIP TOP CONDITION now. I had to wait a little while for him to get here,but the wait was well worth it. There's nothing like having maintenance that know what they're doing and Kendall does. He came in one day and went straight to work and came back and finished up the job in a timely manner. Plus he did a good job of cleaning up after himself! Maintenance is one of the best assets to moving into an apartment...good maintenance and that you will get. Just be a little patient,coming from someone that's not always :) Thank You SOVA and Kendall (Maintenance) KRB...you know me :)"

"Hasn’t been a month since I moved in called maintenance numerous of times because of the heat keeps going out. There’s roaches in the apartment. Sink is clogged no one has fixed it had to go buy a snake rod to fix it myself. I truly regret moving here"

"Mice infested! THE SIZE OF RATS!!!! Also saw small roaches my first few weeks living there. A total nightmare. I was on the 2nd floor. I moved in during the summer, upon moving in I noticed a lot of AC units hanging out of windows- indicating they had no air which was confirmed & never changed. About 6 months in a whole apartment building burned down(not sure how/why), renovations didn’t start until I moved out. I would like to give 0 stars but can’t. Rude staff in the office! Maintenance men do their best, I will say that. Not worth the price at allllllll. Squeaky floors, very thin walls, dirty neighborhood. Only one dumpster for the whole complex - that I had to drive to - super inconvenient being that I’m charged for trash! like what? Valet trash me. A lot of kids/teens (a lot of shooting at night). Just too much! I feel like my walls had a stench idk. Do not recommend. Save yourself the trouble. Typing this I remember moving in the same day as my across the hall neighbor was moving out & she told me “Good luck” on her way out. She meant that!!! Good luck, it’s a fool!!!! They didn’t play with my deposit though - got that back in a timely manner. (Pictures show mice droppings throughout bathroom & kitchen, I deleted other pictures from my phone where mice actually got on & left droppings on my bed, rampaged through my closet, and where I caught and killed THREE of them!). Just don’t do it."

"Been here for 3 years this December and they have been pretty good to me for the most part. Rent hikes have been a little higher than I would like, but that’s happening at most places. Respond to maintenance repairs decently fast. The maintenance man works really hard for the property"

"I very much regret moving here this summer! I don't have access to my patio because the door sticks and I can't get it open. I was told by Sam that she would send someone to fix it the next day. That was over 2 months ago. Many other things have gone ignored by the management including dry rot on the baseboards, blistering paint in the bathroom (can be indicative of mold or moisture), bedroom door doesn't lock or latch, wet carpet in my closet, and there's more! The office has ignored all the above mentioned. The pool is beautiful but you have to reserve a spot because they only allow 5 people at a time for only an hour at a time! The excuse: they are waiting on a background check for a lifeguard. (Does it really take weeks to do that in this day of info?) Beware of the water bill: $67 for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment! If you visit, make sure to check the ceilings for weird stains (don't count on a fresh paint job!) I am grateful for the pest control because he said he's never seen an infestation of pill bugs like this before (probably due to moisture from somewhere. Every night the first month, I had to vacuum up bugs behind my bed!). Beware of moving here! There are lots of gorgeous options in this area for the same money. I'm very disappointed in Sova apartments. NOT a good place to call home!!!"
