"After 3 hours in traffic getting there we ultimately missed our group appointment. I had called and left a message after realizing how late we were going to be. It was for a group session and the therapist was there whether we showed up or not. I had just taken the exit when the therapist called to tell me I missed it and would be charged anyway. I explained what had happened, 3 hours in the car for my kids, one with ASD and the other with ADHD, and was told she would see if the fee could be waived. The next day they deducted the fee from my account. I sent an email explaining the situation and received a response basically saying "sorry I understand but it's our policy". So much for compassion or understanding."
