The Nest Nature School is a nature-based preschool located at 33 Herff Road in Boerne, Texas. Enrollment is open to children who are 3 years of age and fully potty trained. For those who do not meet these requirements, there is a waiting list available. The school year follows a traditional academic calendar from August through May, with summer programming options available from June to August.
Teachers at The Nest provide opportunities for student-teacher conferences to discuss progress and individualized goals. The core school day schedule is from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, with morning snack provided by the school and lunch brought from home by families.
The curriculum at The Nest is play-based and child-centered, drawing inspiration from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf methodologies. Teachers prioritize one-on-one time with each student to advance learning and skill-building based on their innate curiosity.
