Bright Horizons at The Plainview School

"A place you WANT your children to be. Set your mind at ease. Short version: There’s an App that sends pictures & shows what your kiddos are learning for the day. What & how much they ate. How long they napped. -Coded front door -Super involved (and just lovely) Director & Staff -Class sizes feel more comfortable with multiple teachers per room. -Super quaint area, very quiet and almost feels hidden with quick access to 64 or main roads. -Access to parenting Podcasts & information on age related parenting material A portal for parents to stay updated on upcoming events & activities. Scheduled meetings for family/school growth & betterment. They actually care about your family. Scheduled afterschool events for families with their kiddos to play & learn & parents to mingle! I’ve thought about how to say this in a million different ways. I really could write a book about it; I honestly feel I could unintentionally become a mascot for this place. I NEVER wanted for my children to have to go to “daycare”.. my husband and I always wanted to homeschool our children.. After tragedy struck our small family it became a necessity to start searching for a place our children could go during the day so that we could work. I toured EVERY daycare in the East End. This was actually my last stop. Hope lost, wondering which one of us would need to stay at home because I would never send my kids to some of these places.. I was discouraged. Yes, a lot of them were more affordable… but a-lot lacked in terms of what I excepted for care. Immediately, it’s different. It’s more than a daycare.. this is a school. My daughter was only 18 months at the time, with one just born as well. I thought how much schooling does she need at her age? When I tell you she has benefited? She has flourished! From speaking almost instantly, being around fellow toddlers.. transitioning to a routine has done her so well. The people at this school not only pour into your child.. but the school pours into their staff! This creates such an overwhelmingly positive atmosphere for the teachers & this extends to our kids. This is what I’ve noticed as a parent of 2 there. Our babies are more than taken care of.. they’re incorporated into their lives.. involved in their little schedules. If you give this place a chance, you will see almost immediately what makes this place different.. Is it expensive? Yes. But you can definitely see where your money is going. To enrich the lives of your children and those taking care of them. The sacrifice is 10000000% worth it."

Finding a daycare that set my mind at ease was a difficult task, but Bright Horizons at Plainview has a welcoming environment and was recommended by someone I trust. Now that my child is enrolled I recommend them as well if you can afford it."

"We have been with bright horizons for five years. They are absolutely unmatched. My son attended both the nursery school, preschool, and now the summer camp, and my daughter currently attends preschool there. She has cerebral palsy but is intellectually typical, and the teachers are wonderful with her. They help her when needed but treat her like all the other kids. Fantastic extracurriculars and caring teachers."

"My review is a little unconventional, as my daughter has never (regretfully) attended the Plainview School preschool program. However, I did enroll her in the Summer Explorations camp this year. It was amazing. There was never a dull moment (in a good sense): more than a dozen of field trips, special guests, and various activities to keep children stimulated were balanced out by periods of quiet activity and outdoor play. As a parent, I had access to the classroom and was always welcome to call or stop by with my questions or concerns. Come next Summer, if nothing changes in our lives, I will probably enroll her again."
