"Decent fishing spot. Wish people would clean up after themselves more but that's on them not the park. Nice bathrooms, good steps to get down to the river. Great place to go to the river or bird watch. My dogs love it to. Plenty of room to walk them"

"My family had a fun time at the Markland Dam Park. There is a mostly fenced playground by the shelters. My husband and I were able to sit under the shade of the shelter and watch our children play without worrying about them taking off. They also have another play area a short distance away. There was a water spicket that my children got water from to drink. The bathrooms were okay. Not clean but not disgusting. We were able to view the Ohio River and then walk down the large concrete steps to the river. There were a few random pieces of garbage but it seems to be keep fairly clean. There are lots of rocks that my children enjoy picking through to find the perfect skipping rock. There are also baseball fields and a basketball court."
