Explorium of Lexington

"If I could give this 0 stars, I would. My friend and I took her 2 year old daughter thinking it would be a great time. Upon arrival the first room with the horses looked completely normal and nice. As we entered the next room we experienced one of the dirtiest, most off-putting experiences I have ever seen. Every single station was completely run down and DIRTY. There were outdated items all over the place, the carpet did not look vacuumed and every station was practically in shambles. I cannot believe this is supposed to be an educational place for KIDS when it is a living-breathing GERM PLAYGROUND. In the doctor's office themed area, the baby dolls were all dirty and there were papers all over the floor, the place was falling apart. My friend and myself were actually crawling out of our skin. We refused to continue at the explorium by going to the upstairs area because we were mortified of what we exposed a 2 year old to as well as ourselves. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE and would never be returning. It was a waste of $30. Make sure you have a tetanus shot before going in there. I cannot get the image out of my head with how disgusting this place was"

"Had my granddaughter's birthday party here and the atmosphere was great. The employees was very helpful. The party room was a great size. And all the kids, we're so excited to play with all the different toys. The prices are reasonable."

"Brought my son here just for a fun weekday. There was so much to do here we could have easily spent another hour or more. Lots to learn through play. Will be back soon."

"I love this place. I have 1.5 and 4.5 years old. I didn't dread a moment of it. Everything is kid friendly. So many different things the kids can do, from milking a cow (fake cow with water instead of milk), playing in the under 3 area with a water table (with a waterproof apron) to exploring different careers, to flying paper airplanes! So many things. It's definitely worth the hour drive ❤️I did not give it a 5 star because some things weren't working. However, there was so much to do that it was not a disappointment."

"Great for children 7 and under, but will feel baby-ish to older kids. We are visiting from out of town and stopped for the kids to get out some energy. The bubble room was a favorite of the kids. Mine was getting to "milk" the cow. Water shot out of the teets which was hilarious. A bit older decor and slightly dated feel *but* there are signs saying there will be renovations. A major plus is all placards have Spanish in addition to English."
