Homewood Suites by Hilton Laredo at Mall del Norte 98 Calle del Norte, Laredo, TX 78041

"Let's start with what was suppose to happen. The evening reception, shown on their website and a sign in the hotel. Did not happen on the Monday and Tuesday I was there. They were out of watervwhen I got there and they said they would ck me when it arrived so I could get it. Never got that call. I told them I was expecting a FedEx delivery. They took my cell number and they said they would call me when it was delivered. Never got that call. Now for the room. Rust on the bathtub floor. The top of the coffee table was becoming delaminated. The door to the room was not self closing. It would close to where it contacted the door jam, then I had to finish closing it. The AC control in the bedroom was behind the TV. The control for the bedroom ceiling fan was missing the front panel. Hand soap as a shower amenity instead of shower gel/soap. No lid for the ice bucket. Probably will not stay here again."

"This hotel is cockroach infested! I have been staying here since may due to my job and everyday there is a roach in my room. They already came and sprayed my room and caulked holes in the baseboard that aren’t properly sealed. I’ve had enough of staying in this hotel. There are roaches EVERYWHERE in this hotel. I see them in the hallways and in the dining area where people are eating. This hotel needs to be shut down. I have already contacted the state health department for them to come down and do whatever they need to do to correct this situation. If you are looking to stay at a hotel or extended stay this definitely is not the place. They are doing renovations to this hotel and it stinks as well. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s disgusting. Every day I wake up. I’m always wondering what cockroach is. Waiting for me in my restroom. Sure enough one is always waiting."

"A large roach crawled from my bedroom into my bathroom. The Wi-Fi was choppy and disconnected my business phone calls. The construction was terribly loud. I advised the front desk that I was on a business trip so you would think she would try to house me in a room not close to the construction. I requested more towels during my 1 week stay at approximately 9 Am and did not receive them until approximately 9 Pm after calling 2 more times. The room was sub-par. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I love Hilton and they are not up to "Hilton's" standards."

"It is hot everywhere except in the room. The elevators are out of service. No hot breakfast, no cold eggs even, no protein at all for breakfast. Evening reception is only on Wednesdays. Ants and big spiders that walk on thr walls, especially in the bathroom. No hot coffee that's if you find any coffee. No hot water even. The kitchen only has a few items, not even a sponge, dish soap paper towels or cutting board. Everything looks very disgusting old and dirty. The rooms are very small. The TV remote does not work. The pool is full with bees and flies. We have to wait for 3 hours for towels. No phones in the rooms. You have to use your cell, even to call the front desk. This hotel should be closed during this renovation or maybe forever. We have never been to a hotel this horrible."

"I'm going to be nice here and give them a four, a very generous four. They are going through remodeling at this time. The room was okay however, I did experience the little sugar ants in the bathroom area. Not a whole lot but still I'd bet if I left a piece of food out, by the next morning there would have been hundreds. I did like the larger than usual refrigerator freezer and the walk-in shower. That was a nice improvement. One of the biggies that I was not happy with was the breakfast. None of it was hot enough. If I ever do stay here again I will probably go out for breakfast. They do have a real nice courtyard and are dog friendly, which is a major plus in my book. The gas grill, assuming it worked, was a good idea. I'm not sure if the swimming pool water is supposed to be greenish in color?? I'm used to swimming in pools that are bluish in color. Just saying..."
