"Renting a room here was a big mistake. I traveled to lubbock for a job interview that I was going to have early the next morning. So I was looking for a "budget friendly option". The first room I got had dog hairs all over the sheets (it's a pet friendly motel 6), so I requested a new room. Unfortunately, the new room smelled like an ash tray and was very dirty. Keeping in mind that you get what you pay for, I was afraid of asking for a third room because the odds of getting a better room were slim to none. You can tell they don't clean the rooms too well, I found an empty drug baggie in the tv stand and a dirty body towel hanging from the shower curtain. So I woke up early in the morning and jumped in the shower only to find out that there was no hot water, I told the lady in the front office and she said "oh yeah, the whole building is out of hot water since yesterday". And so I went to my job interview with no shower and smelling like an ash tray. I filed a complaint with corporate, and all they could do is apologize and keep my money"

"Stayed here overnight .Pictures on website are 100% wrong room was very run down, there was no heating it was like the fan was running with out heat. The first night people were fighting over shady dealings with scantily clad woman on the corner. Next morning there was no hot water apparently pipes busted. When we went to check out we informed the receptionist Brenda and ask for refund even a partial. She said talk to the manager Rosa and she asked why we didn't let them know they could have moved us to another room at 2am in the morning. Both were very rude. Who wants to move to another room at 2am? These are things that should have been checked before customers check in. We stayed there 5 years ago and it was not at all like this. It was our go to place. It's like my daughter said you get what you pay for only it really wasn't even worth the 48 dollars. So disappointed. Use to be microwaves, mini-fridge an clean .will never stay there again!!"

"The rooms are not very clean compared to the more costly hotels, the floors need to be scrubbed. Underneath the bed was absolutely horrifying, wish I would have never looked. The bath tubs could also use a good cleaning. Plus don't plan on getting a good night's rest if you stay here the noise from the rift- raff goes on all night & day, if they weren't yelling and fighting then they were bumping their music at all hours of the day. Oh yeah there's no ice machines that work. They should lower their prices about $10 or $15 dollars less then what they charge."

"Granted, this is a Motel 6. No one's pretending it's anything else, and this experience definitely didn't raise any bars in terms of expectations. However, that doesn't excuse what looks to be a rampant disregard for the generally poor condition of the rooms...please refer to the attached pictures for more information."
