"I had always heard good things about this park! It did not disappoint. Most trails were well maintained and well marked- Fossil Ridge could use some signage- Many RV slips, camping sites and cabins available. Swimming beach, area great for kayaking, boat ramp and fishing dock. Enjoyed speaking to several of the friendly locals-"

"Overall, a nice, relatively small state park. If you live in the area, it's a great place to get a little nature it. I personally like visiting state parks to get a little solitude and escape the sounds of civilization. I couldn't really do that here, as during my hike I could usually hear cars. Also, from what I can tell, the park is surrounded by private property. There were wire fences around the parameter, which made it clear where the boundaries of the park ended and where civilization begins. That being said, the middle of the park, where the lake is, was very pretty. The park is worth a visit. Just a little less secluded than I prefer."

"First time visit. Went on a weekday so no crowds. Lots of great hiking trails. Be prepared and pre download maps and your favorite GPS ap. Most of the trails are well marked but there are a lot of “extra” trails that aren’t mapped, so know where you are going. We did the Spillway trail and it was moderate with lots of up and down elevation changes and we were rewarded with beautiful views of the water cascading over the spillway. Park staff were friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean. I highly recommend this Texas State Park!"

"Staff is welcoming at entrance . Park is full of trails and water body lake and water stream . Enough shelter , screen and A/c shelter there , camping and multiple RV sites . Park is scenic with hilly terrain and wild life sighting is normal with plenty of birds .kids play area is also big and clean . Best restroom facility you can find in park . Overall a good fun day , close to nature place . You all ,Must go , do trail and have fun ."

"Cleburne State Park was convenient to stay at for visiting Fort Worth. It's a steep, curvy road up to the campgrounds, but campsites were level. Cedar Grove site 10 was nice. It's a short hike over a little bridge to the bathrooms. The bathrooms are heated with hot water but need some serious cleaning. Zero AT&T cell service and little antenna reception. Saw deer and nice foliage color in December. Hikes were fun and well marked."
