"I don’t know anything about Lowe’s Market except this, they are better than Porter’s. The all around selection is larger, the layout of the store makes more sense and the prices are finally comparable to other mid/large grocery chains. I’m not a long time resident of this area but a resident nonetheless and I welcome this change."
"New name, new logo, same overly expensive grocery store. To me, nothing has changed from Porter's to Lowe's Market. The store itself rearranged a few of the aisles. It's still very expensive."
"A very far cry from the Porter's of past. Not sure what the advisors they brought in are doing but I dont think its a good idea/job. The place has changed for the worse. on top of their new product being mass produced factory farmed sludge they are also not helping or providing in any way for this community as seen in the bake sale fiasco. "One of the worst grocery chains that could have taken over from porters. Their meat selection and suppliers are the absolute bottom. Horrible selection of meat producers. All of swifts beer looks like pork, poor quality. Their house brand I think is inedible as I couldn't risk it from the look of it. They have chicken breasts the size of a football and no "clean" options such as grass fed or organic. I also heard some of the new Lowe's guys bad mouthing another employee right in front of customers. I regret taking Porters for granted. But I will only be buying the absolute necessities at Lowe's and driving out for my staples. It's a shame these corporate parasites had to come to Alpine."
