Reviews
"I have to drive out of my way to get to this Whole Foods from where I live, but I refuse to go anywhere else! The products are top quality and well stocked. All the employees are so helpful and care about the customers. I have two little kids and I can trust that this store will always have clean ingredients that taste good AND are good for them. My daughter is dairy free so coming here opens the door with all sorts of options for her to try. The 365 vegan pizza is her favorite!"
"The plastic bags used for bread in the bakery section have a very strong plastic smell, which unfortunately transfers to the bread itself. When eating the bread, the taste of plastic is quite noticeable. This significantly affects the overall quality and enjoyment of the product. I hope this feedback leads to a reconsideration of the packaging materials used to ensure that the bread remains fresh and free from any unwanted odors or tastes."
"Store is always clean and displays are full. Crew are polite but focused on their stocking. The layout of the stores make it very easy to find what I need. Fresh produce is my favorite!"
"Clean and has a good selection. Produce has many organic items in prime condition. Lots of gluten-free and other allergy friendly products. Stop by Juice Land inside for a smoothie before shopping. Or get a quick snack and drink by the registers. Self check out is a recent addition."
"We love Whole Foods, but not when the supervisor, David, is on duty at the cedar park store. As is our annual custom, my friend and I go Christmas shopping including buying gift cards for our church event. We drive separately and meet at Whole Foods to purchase about 40 gift cards ($25/each). I would purchase 20 and he would purchase 20 since you cannot buy more than 20 (or total price exceed $1,000) at a time per their policy. Mind you, 20 $25 gift cards is only $500. We were told this two years ago so we have been coming together ever since knowing that I can’t purchase more than the 20 or exceed the $1,000 limit. We speak to the cashier and she confirms to us that I cannot make the purchase of 40 gift cards on one traction but I could purchase 20 and my friend could purchase his 20. Mind you, we have been doing this for three years, the cashier confirms that is within store policy, she even gives us the cards and gets 10 more from a compartment where they store the extra cards so that we can pay for them in her line. As we make our way to the cashier’s line to pay for the cards separately, Mr. Karen, I mean the store supervisor, David, jumps in front of us and asks us what we think we are doing? I tell him that I am going to purchase 20 gifts cards. He asked about my friend so I tell him that she is going to purchase her own 20 gift cards. He proceeds to tell me that that is a no, no, because we are considered, get this, one person, and because we are one person, we cannot purchase more than the 20 gift cards. What in the gravy beans?? I insisted that we were not the same person, that in fact, we had different names, with different credit cards, making separate transactions. We have done this the past two years, the cashier already confirmed it with us, and we have an event to go to. He asks us, what the event was. Thinking that he was going to relent, we told him our Christmas church event. He then, cold-stared into my soul, and said, “nope, you can’t purchase more than the 20 cards and will have to come back in 24 hours to purchase the other 20.” Now I don’t want to use the race card, but we are Asians and he was a very proud white man because boy did he take pride in his position and not considering our situation and not showing wisdom and etiquette to appease the customer. If he could have turned his apron around and put it on his back, maybe then, he would have engendered more respect from us and the other customers. I have spent too much time at the store arguing for common sense to prevail and typing this long review, but we have never ever seen such a callousness and inflexibility from someone in that position especially at Whole Foods. In fact, I conceded in the end because well, he continued to be a jerk and wouldn’t allow us to purchase the rest, but the cashier apologized to us and wished us well. The so-called supervisor did no such thing. The cashier should be applauded and given the supervisor position and the knucklehead who is the current supervisor should be moved to the produce section with all the other bad apples. In the end, we had to drive all the way to the whole food store in the domain and drive all the way back for our event. I spoke to the manger there, Jennifer, and she told us that wouldn’t have been a problem at her store and apologized to me as well. She even called me back to explain the policy in the exact wording but mentioned that common sense should rule the day. Anyway, look out for David at the cedar park store and make sure he knows that whether you walk in with two or three people, you guys are all individuals who are unique, different, and created fearfully and wonderfully and definitely shouldn’t be all lumped together as one person."
