"I’m a new resident to the Lockhart/Kyle area so I decided to try Lux Nail for the first time this past weekend. When I first walked in I was greeted by someone but I felt she may have been too pre-occupied to assist me. I didn’t feel welcomed much.. But I was greeted by another employee and she assisted me and was welcoming. I ended up getting a pedicure and while getting it I was relaxed and my service was great. I chose gel polish for my toes which I always get with my pedicures, unfortunately the next day the gel chipped. I was highly disappointed as $20 extra for gel polish without having acrylic or a tip added to my toenails was a bit much in my opinion. I’ve always paid $10 extra for gel. I didn’t bang my toes or anything to make the gel chip, not sure what the issue was for it to happen but regardless it’s extremely disappointing. Not sure if I’ll try them again but for the most part the service was good."

"It was a struggle to find a good place to get my nails and toes done in Kyle. I found my home at Lux. The girls in the front and everyone I’ve met has been friendly. Lily, Skyler, and Katie have all done my nails and their attention to detail does not go unnoticed! They deserve 5 stars for sure!"

"The nails were cute i give you that but not worth the 100 dollars i paid. my nails are the green french tip. while i was driving my nail broke in half a week after getting them. i went with my friend who got a almond french tip and hers broke 4 days after getting hers while picking up a napkin from the floor. definitely not worth the 88 dollars she spent on them. and we went back so she could fix hers and it was rushed and messy some of the nail polish got on the nude part. overall we got scammed. never coming back wayyy to pricey."

"I just came in and it was busy, but I was taken by the manager to get my nails done. It wasn’t explained to me that there was absolutely zero manicure things done, like even just basic things like cleaning under my nails, or even the hangnail that I asked him just to clip. I understand that I didn’t have an appointment, but he shouldn’t have taken me because he was so busy. He was barely in the chair for more than 2 to 5 minutes at a time. He was extremely distracted and now my nails look like they were extremely rushed. There is still stuff under them that I can’t get because I don’t have those manicure tools. I asked him after the service why he didn’t clean the powder or the nail polish off my nails, do any normal manicure things, or even the thing I asked for and he said that’s not included. I said I wish that I would have known that or I would’ve asked for it. The French dip that he did was uneven. He said that it was my fault because I didn’t ask for fake tips, and I said I didn’t know that - I am not a nail technician. I didn’t know that my shorter nails wouldn’t work for what I was asking. He also said the white line being uneven is my fault because my nails are uneven, and I’m just confused why he could’ve brought that up during the brief consultation we had. When I talk to him after the appointment was over he was confused as to why I was upset. I clearly laid out why I was upset, and I was not trying to cause a scene… that’s not what I wanted. I just wanted to get the reasonable service I asked for, and would’ve been happy to pay for and tip if he had chosen to listen to my concerns. At this point I didn’t have time to sit down and let him fix what he didn’t do. The manager asked me what I wanted, and I said I wanted to pay for the nails I asked for, not what I got. I didn’t mind that I would be having to pay $47 if I was getting $47 worth of service. I wanted to tip him because I know it is a really hard job and he was really busy, but he was defensive and dismissive about his work it so now I’m out $40. He gave me a seven dollar discount, but that is ridiculous because I now have to go get them done again and it will cost even more. To resolve this issue I want a complete refund, but this clearly won’t happen as it wasn’t offered after my experience."
