About the Business

Monticello Park

Monticello Park, located in the Monticello Addition in west Fort Worth, Texas, is a historic park developed by the Monticello Land Company in the late 1920s. Designed by the renowned landscape architecture firm of Hare and Hare of Kansas City, Missouri, the park spans approximately 4.5 acres and features amenities such as tennis courts and a playground. Originally known as Monticello Harmon Field, the park continues to be a beloved green space for residents and visitors alike.

In addition to its recreational facilities, Monticello Park also serves as a habitat for a variety of animal, plant, and insect species. Visitors can explore the park's biodiversity and contribute to scientific research by documenting their observations on iNaturalist. The park's natural beauty and educational opportunities make it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts of all ages.

Please note that the Fort Worth City Cable Channel (Charter/Spectrum channel 190) will be offline for a few weeks starting March 11 for facilities connections rerouting. During this time, City Council Meetings and other City meetings can be viewed on the City's YouTube Channel. For residents with accessibility requirements, accommodations are available. To learn more about accessibility options provided by the City of Fort Worth, visit the Accessibility page and submit a request for accommodations if needed. Visit Monticello Park today to enjoy its serene surroundings and diverse wildlife.

"Really nice residential neighborhood park, well-kempt. Has two playground areas, one for littles and one for bigger kids. There are picnic tables and nice big trees. Surrounded by pretty houses. Also has two tennis courts and a nice big lawn for fetch or frisbees. Pleasant place to spend an afternoon."
