"Spent a weekend there with a camping group. Had planned to bring my camper, but was worried about the below freezing temps so I switched to a cabin last minute. The cabin and facilities were so nice and clean, there was a very nice park with a basketball and volleyball court, a huuuuge pool, and our meeting room was nice and spacious. The staff from check in to maintenance were all very nice, and you could easily get in touch if needed. Just 10 minutes from Dinosaur Valley state park for some hiking, and we're already talking about an extended family trip there when it warms up!"

"My mother-in-law rented us a cabin for the weekend. When I was trying to get the details about the cabin, she told me I needed to know who made the reservation. I gave all three of the possible choices. Mind you, this is just to find out if there's a bathtub, a full-sized refrigerator, and what appliances there are for cooking so I can pack correctly. Even though one of the names I gave was who made the reservation, as we later confirmed, she couldn't give me those details. We won't be going back here ever. This has been a ridiculous experience."

"We just love it here! Highly recommend. Staying here for several months while we search for a home to buy after moving from out of state. It is such a great park! Awesome location within walking distance of a public park and trails across the street and close to downtown, all the amenities me and my kids could want (laundry, nice private park, basketball hoop, plenty of quiet roads for bike riding). We feel right at home during this transitional time! Wouldn’t change a thing."

"This review is for the Oakdale Park Campground. First, BEWARE this park has the most strict, inflexible change (or cancellation) policy we have ever seen. We are fulltime RVers and have stayed at literally hundreds of RV parks in 46 states and this was our first issue when needing to make a slight change to our reservation. We opted to change our dates just a little reducing from 4 nights to 2 nights. Severe weather was predicted for the area in the coming days and we wanted to leave a little early to miss it. The park WILL NOT refund money. They gave us a “credit” for a future stay BUT you have to book it now. This is crazy especially for the price parks charge now. Airlines change flights easier than this park. This needs to be reviewed. We didn’t cancel our reservation, just changed it slightly for road weather safety. The park itself is very nice. Tight spaces and a little difficult to maneuver with a large class A but nice grounds. The pool, which was not open, is the biggest I’ve ever seen at any RV park. The utilities all worked well. The park is close to town and the dinosaur tracks park. All of this is why we gave it 4 stars or more like 3.5 stars. If they were to be a little more flexible on their refund policy they would be a 5+ star. Im sure they will reply to this review with “that’s just our policy” but you need to review your policy."

"We stayed in casita 1 and loved it! The 2 beds are comfy with nice linens. Clean bathroom with soaps that smell wonderful. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot too. Best of all, the A/C worked great in this Texas heat!! The grounds are well kept and the pool was actually cool, not warm like taking a bath. Huge selection of drinks by the pool too! We will definitely be back!!"
