"My grandchildren really enjoyed their week there. The counselors and volunteers were all wonderful. Will definitely be going back next year."

"Such an amazing place. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The facilities are also modern and cleanly. I have attended this camp for 12 years and worked on staff for two. The programs put on throughout the year are family friendly, and offer a variety of activities ranging from canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, along with many others. Make sure to check out this hidden gem Granbury, TX has to offer."

"To say it’s been awhile since visiting is a bit of an understatement. Not sure but think it was around 1961. And I still remember the things we did during that week in the summer heat. So many firsts for young girls. Loved the camp. I wondered what happened to it and then accidentally came across it on Google Maps. What a find."

"Pros- my daughter got to enjoy some of the outdoors and rec activities. Also the camp has several safety and security protocols to ease parental concerns. CONS- many of the activities that were advertised were not actually available. My daughter mentioned that they ran out of dinner 2 of the 5 days, so she went to bed hungry. Please note, my daughter is small and she said the servings were very little. I'm sure that all the kids got one serving, but not to have any additional servings like on other nights should be able to be prevented. She mentioned that the other girls in get cabin spoke up about being hungry afterwards too, so she was not alone. One of the activities she chose was rock climbing. However, after picking her up she told us that the counselor who taught rock climbing wasn't a guy or a girl, so she got a crash course on gender fluidity (don't know what that has to do with rock climbing, also daughter is 11, good luck explaining that to kids, she left confused). Another activity she chose was fishing although there weren't enough poles for everyone so she sat by the pond, with others, and watched a few people fish. My daughter was upset that she wasn't able to do many of the activities that we were led to belive were available. None of the aforementioned were revealed during orientation so our expectations were severely missed. Overall, we will not sign up again."

"It's been a while since I was at this camp, but it left it's impression on me. I visited this camp as part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Becoming an Outdoor Woman's program. Some of the best photos I took ... ever ... where at this camp. The staff were fantastic and the food was pretty good. The area was great for hiking, star gazing, kayaking, and of course photography. I had a blast at this camp. The cabins were clean and well kept."
