"I own 5 pairs of Chippewa boots. I love them all. Each pair has a purpose. I live in upstate ny. By upstate I mean southern Adirondack’s. Not west Chester. We have cold winters so the insulated American made super loggers are great in snow and on ice. I wear uninsulated black leather loggers to work 40+ hours a week during the summer swapping pairs if one gets wet. Been doing this for 4 years and haven’t had to repair anything or replace a sole. Buy the American made Chippewa boots and you won’t be disappointed."

"I’m normally not a review writer, but today, I have to. I have owned and loved my Chippewa boots for about five years now. (I saw all the people working at the rattlesnake roundup wearing them, and knew they were the ones for me.) I hunt in Quanah, Texas, and we have lots of rattlesnakes out here. Today, while opening a gate, I almost stepped on a diamondback rattler. It bit me before I ever even saw it. Thankfully, I was wearing my Chippewa boots- I only had two puncture holes in the leather and a story to tell after it was over. The fangs didn’t go all the way through, but now I have (I’m assuming) venom seeping from the holes. I am very thankful today. These are quality snake boots- worth every penny. If these ever wear out, I’ll buy another pair."

"Ridiculous! Purchased a pair of Chippewa boots approximately a year ago and already have eyelets falling out. Was told I would have to mail the boots themselves in for formal inspection. No consideration for cost of mailing steel towed heavy boots or what I would wear during this time. Customer service is not only lacking but nonexistent. Definitely not worth the money"

"Don't waste your money, the Chippewa boots I bought were made in China and a sole fell off before it showed wear. Unfortunately their warranty policy is also a farce. Customer service told me the warranty policy is only for 1 year, which is not mentioned in the policy. I'm retired, seldom use the boots and they appear to fall apart primarily sitting in a heated garage."

"I bought a pair of Chippewa snake boots 2 years ago. They are insanely stiff and they've been stretched 3 times. They are absolutely the most uncomfortable boots I've ever owned. I understand that snake boots are stiff; I live in Texas and these aren't my first snake boots. I emailed customer service and their advice was to stretch them even more. I advised them that the first pair I had was WAY too big and only a half size bigger. Then half size smaller pair were so tight I could barely get my foot into it. I have them a 2 ONLY because the boots are super good looking. But extremely uncomfortable. I have a dove trip this week and can't wear the mm because they rubbed a hole in the back of my feet last weekend. Beware of the what you're getting into and the level of service after the sale. Which also sucks. Get Irish Setters. Or anything else other than Chippewa."
