"My 3 year old needed a haircut and I found Ace of Spades on google. I called ahead to ask if there would be a wait or if I should make an appointment-the gentleman working informed me that there “isn’t a wait, they had people in their chairs but there isn’t a wait”. Not sure what that means, but okay. So we head over-got there approximately 10 minutes after the call ahead. We walk in, then are told to write our name down—not a single word was said to me for the rest of our time there. They both finished one haircut and proceeded with another after that, without acknowledging our presence or giving an estimated wait time. After 40 minutes of waiting with TWO kids, we left. I was told “have a good one” upon leaving. Absolutely unacceptable behavior for anyone that wants to own a business that has anything to do with customer service. Y’all should really be embarrassed."

"The haircuts are Decent and normal prices. But the environment the customer service is horrible. I decided to try to give the place one more chance but If you don't even greet me when I walk in the door and then I hear The barbers making fun of other customers including me for not having an appointment. It's just extremely disrespectful to The clients because we are spending our hard-earned money. And then To make matters even worse, other customers are walking through the door going straight to sit on the Barbers chair. So then that creates tension in room So rather than start problems or arguments this time. I just walked out of the business. And this time I ain't coming back"

"I used to come here and see Evan a lot and admired his work. However, after my experience yesterday, I will not be retuning nor recommending this place/Evan anymore. He said he spaced out and made a mistake, which resulted in half a bowl cut around my scalp and 1-2 inch pieces of hair, along with choppy layers. I had long and thick hair, and while I did want it thinned out, this was unprofessional and his apology was lazy. I was still charged for the service, although he did refund when I immediately asked. I left the shop in utter shock and this will probably take a year or two to grow back. Not worth the cheaper prices at all."

"My partner needed a cut on a Sunday afternoon. We went to another spot that couldn’t accept. Walk-in. I saw Ace of Spades was open and called ahead to inquire if they could accept a walk-in and the friendly person on the phone said yes. We arrived just minutes later and walked right in to a chair. My partner’s hair was long and it had been months since he’d had a cut. It was his “winter hair.” The barber, super long, well-kept dreadlocks, did great work! He took very vague instructions such as “shorter, but not too short, but short on the sides” and sculpted the perfect haircut. He did a beard trim that was rounded just enough and gave the beard new life. The environment was casual. I like the big flat sofa in the middle of the shop that affords plenty of seating for folks waiting. I observed the other two barbers working with children and exhibiting a great deal of patience as the boys did their best to explain their desired cuts. If I had a son, I’d take them there. The cut and beard trim were very affordable too! My partner said he will definitely go back."
