"Had insurance thru another company that was bought by A Abana. Didn't bother to change, just kept paying premiums for nearly 10 years. One day my old truck is driving oddly and suddenly the rear wheels lock up and the drive line breaks off from the rear end while I'm in traffic. Was not a good situation but at least I had emergency roadside service. Took about 45 minutes to FINALLY get a tow truck through them. Then another 45 minutes later, I got a call from a Philipino lady saying that my situation does not qualify for a tow truck service after all and that I'm on my own. All attempts to be reasonable were met with "but Sir, we can not provide you with a tow truck. The previous agent misinformed you". 10 YEARS of paying this company and a simple road side assistance call denied and wasted hours of my time. I cancelled and switched to a more well known auto insurance provider (USAA) and I'm shocked that my premium went to nearly half as much and they have a great reputation. If you have insurance thru these A Abana guys, I will admit the the local agents were very friendly and kind as they collect their small commission when you sign up, but when you need actual help, the company behind them will only make excuses to not insure you. Like I said 10 years I paid this company and it was a waste of time trying to get a tow truck for a breakdown that was obviously covered under my plan. I do not recommend A Abana because in my experience they do not actually provide insurance they just collect premiums. Real person, all facts. Don't have ANY idea how they are showing a 4.9 star rating, but it's manipulated for certain."
