"I am a retired dental hygienist. My dentist sold his practice and retired so I had to find a new provider for my family, friends and me. A colleague I had worked with recommended Dr. Hagen. I had my new patient visit on Monday. Be prepared, this new patient experience is unlike any other!!! Dr. Hagen does the most comprehensive new patient exam I've ever seen in my more than 30 years of practice! She sets aside 2 plus hours for YOU! It is how all hygienists pray a new patient exam be done! Well, Dr. Hagen does it! The new patient exam begins with being warmly welcomed by Jennifer, the office manager. Then once in the operatory, your vitals are taken and inquiry by the assistant as to any concerns you may have, X-rays, a really cool scan that provides a real life-looking presentation of your mouth in color on the computer screen. (Great visual, moveable by touch screen tool for the doctor and you! ), intraoral photos. Then, Dr. Hagen comes in. Dr. Hagen is personable, approachable, caring, gentle, and a pleasure to visit with. She is not rushed at all. You have her undivided attention at all times! She performs one of the most comprehensive health history reviews with the patient I've ever experienced. Her desire and approach is to understand the whole patient! She does not look at your mouth in a vacuum. Our oral health and our overall systemic health work in concert together, one impacting the other, and vise versa. She and her staff 100% gets this. Next, Dr. Hagen begins the intraoral part of the exam, all the while, making sure you are 100% comfortable. After her intraoral exam, she then clearly and concisely explains everything she sees and how it all relates to you. She answers any question(s) you have with perfect, thorough detail. From this point she and her staff provide a recommended treatment plan. This is done in a non pressure approach. They provide you all the info you need to make an informed decision as to how you proceed with your treatment moving forward. They work with your insurance to also provide you with informed, transparent financial considerations. After the comprehensive new patient exam, you return for your cleaning based on your specific needs. Kelsey, Dr. Hagen's dental hygienist is an exceptional hygienist! You will love her!! She too is personable and approachable. She is very gentle and ensures you are 100% comfortable. She provided me with one of the best cleanings I've ever had. "Dr. Hagen takes time with her patients to fully understand their entire body health and how it relates to the mouth and current dental conditions. Dr. Hagen is thorough and also very friendly. She is great at explaining things to kids and adults so that you have a full understanding of what is going on with your oral health and explains how it is or could be related to other parts of the body. Dr. Hagan and her hygienist were very gentle with my kids and I highly recommend this office. She is out of network for my insurance but I don't mind paying just a few more dollars for quality care. Excellent care is hard to find but you do not have to look any farther once you have seen Dr. Hagen."
