"If this were a review of the quality of care I received, it would easily be a 5-star review. Unfortunately, this review is more a reflection of my feeling misled by the office staff in regards to my insurance benefits, and the subsequent surprise bill I received six weeks later. Prior to my first appointment I called Dr. Lewis' office to confirm they accepted my dental insurance. I provided not only the name of my insurance provider, but also specific plan details, including my group number and personal information, so that my benefits could be confirmed prior to scheduling an appointment. On the day of the appointment everything went well. The staff was friendly, Dr. Lewis was very professional and informative, but during my cleaning the hygienist suggested that I get a full set of x-rays taken. I waited in the chair while my benefits were once again confirmed by the staff, and was then given the go ahead. The x-rays were taken, my appointment wrapped up, I paid my co-pay and scheduled a follow up appointment, and went on my way. Six weeks later I received a bill for several hundred dollars, marked "Over 30 days". Additionally, the invoice was not itemized, and no explanation of the charge was provided. I went into the office the following day and was told that while their office is able to submit a claim to my insurance company, they do not actually participate in their network. I also asked for an explanation of the charges, and was not at all surprised to hear they were the result of the additional x-rays I was sold during my appointment. Needless to say, this was a disappointing experience. I very much enjoyed Dr. Lewis' thorough explanation of my x-rays and treatment options, the staff was very friendly, and the location is very convenient, but I no longer trust that the staff has my best interests at heart."

"Dr. Lewis and his staff are outstanding in every way. I went in for a checkup and cleaning and then a crown. Both visits were top notch. My teeth are very hard to numb, and Dr. Lewis took the time to make sure the process really was pain-free. The while-you-wait crown matches so perfectly that it looks better than my old tooth with all the fillings. Dr. Lewis was meticulous in fitting the new crown, in fact so good that my mouth and bite felt normal right away. Dr. Lewis uses the latest dental techniques and equipment and has many years of experience, what a great combination!"
