"Took the engine from my 69 mustang rebuild to the shop to check for cracks and if none bore the cylinders out. The work performed by frank and his team was phenomenal and the amount of detail and knowledge was remarkable. Being the first rebuild my knowledge was limited to reading but frank provided tons of help and insight even past the machine work he provided. Can't wait to rebuild the engine they worked on."

"I had him rebuild a cylinder head on a Nissan forklift engine due to a blown head gasket. He did it quickly and the rebuild was high quality. When we were still having issues with the engine and even stumped the technicians who worked on it, Frank offered to come out and diagnose it himself. That's the mark of a company that stands behind it's work and goes the extra mile. Frank is a good guy, a little rough around the edges, but just like old cars, they don't build 'em like they used too. He is an military veteran who takes pride in his work and he expects the same from those he works with. I don't think the people who reviewed him badly understand that sometimes you have to look below surface level and listen and learn. Guy knows his stuff and people need to learn not to get offended so easily."

"Avoid doing business with this shop. Unfortunately, there's no zero star rating for Frank/Motor-Head Machine. I sent an e-mail to Frank using the one listed on the Motor-Head Machine website. I inquired about a cost estimate to repair an engine block that probably needed new piston rings and cylinder honing/boring based on cylinder leak down tests. He did not respond so I decided to stop by his shop to discuss my options and to get a cost estimate. The visit proved shockingly insightful. As soon as I introduced myself, I received an angry tirade lecture from old man Frank about how terrible the World is because people don't want to communicate eye to eye. I assume that receipt of an e-mail is a deep insult to Frank. I'm 59 years old and quickly realized that Frank has a huge chip on his shoulder due to an inability to keep up with the modern world. Frank earned the one star that I must give him in this review by quickly letting me know that Motor-Head Machine would be a scary place to do business."
