"I have not been there for a few years and I am finally able to put my thoughts together. This place seriously gave me PTSD and was the cause of my mistrust in dental professionals for a long time. My kids finished orthodontic care with Dr. Thedford and we had to go elsewhere to get it done again. Flushed a bunch of money down the toilet and he did not deliver results after keeping my kids in braces for 5 years. Don’t fall for the “it’s better to start when they are young and still have baby teeth” lie. Dr. Thedford had horrible manners. I have always gone to the dentist regularly for cleanings and have been complimented for my good dental hygiene everywhere. When I started at Apple Dental, I went from never having a cavity to having 8. After that he said I needed a root canal, then I had so much pain after the procedure that I almost went to the emergency department. I came in as an emergency and he said it was a cracked root and that I needed an extraction. He caused so much damage in my mouth. I had to pay over $12,000 (oral surgery x2, replacement crown x2, and braces) to get it all fixed elsewhere and it took a couple of years to undo the mess he made. He never encouraged me to explore my options (implant) because he would not make any money off that, and filed 2 good teeth to put in a bridge without explaining what a bridge was, in addition to leaving a huge hole in my gum line after an extraction with no plans to fix anything. It makes me question if I needed anything to begin with. If his kids, at the time his daughter had braces, or family got there they would go ahead of everyone that had been waiting, no shame. Please find somewhere else to go. There is no competent or polite dentist here. Run! To the office person who answers these: you go ahead and search my name in your database before answering my review. I’m in there. I was there. NEVER AGAIN."
