"I went in for a normal cleaning and everything seemed fine. They told me I had two cavities and recommended filling them. I took the treatment plan home and showed my friend who owns a dental practice in another state. He recommended I get a second opinion because it's unlikely I had two "advanced" cavities and shouldn't be paying $300 out of pocket with insurance. They were also charging me for nitrous and fluoride which I never agreed to and was not informed was optional, as well as PPE, which is a clear money grab in 2023. Fast forward 6 months later to today and I went to a new dentist and told them nothing about my previous dental visit. Sure enough I have no cavities, perfect teeth and healthy gums. There are ethical dental practices in this area and Sandy Lake is not one of them. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for dental work as I described four examples why to Not use Sandy Lake with the "ghost cavities" being the most egregious. I'm very glad I got a second opinion 6 months later and avoided receiving fillings on healthy teeth."
