Car Country Inspections

"Was in a bit of a pinch to get an inspection and saw this place on the side of 180 and decided to swing it (against my better judgement as I've been screwed doing that before at an inspection place.. required a new gas cap when it was fine... this will become pertinent soon) They were nice enough, the service was quick but when someone else walked in with a failed gas cap, I suspected immediately I was going to get a "fail" needing a new gas cap. Lo and behold, I needed a new gas cap and the lady behind the desk I quote "It's losing pressure so much that your check engine light might come on soon" -- I thought that was a strange comment to make seeing how that's very specific.. I've had this truck for ~2 years and never seen a CEL. As I'm driving away, my CEL came on and I pulled over to find a hose with a cut in it audibly leaking air. Got the replacement hose real quick from a parts store and reset the CEL, it didn't come back on. Got an inspection at another place (without getting a new gas cap) and passed. I donated $25 to this business because I refused to take my car back there to get it "re-inspected." I'm not saying this all couldn't have been a crazy coincidence that I somehow got a crack in a hose that caused a CEL right after she said that was probably about to happen but.... I would think very, very carefully before taking your car to this place."
