"Fantastic customer service! Huge kudos to Ashlyn too! I had purchased a pair of shoes that had to be sent to me because the last pair in my size were the display pair that had a very slight blemish on them. She saw what I was talking about and IMMEDIATELY offered to have a new pair sent to me from Nashville; got them in 4 days! Unfortunately, they didn't fit like I had hoped and went back to get a half-size larger. Again, had to be shipped and got them in 4 days! Crazy good service! "Johnston & Murphy I must say, I went to your North Park store this morning and was greeted by a sales associate by the name of Gordon McKellen, I am a life long customer of Johnston & Murphy and actually have a pair of Crown Aristocrafts that I purchased back in 1989 that I still wear. With the way that customer service has gone down in the last 30 years, I did not expect much, however I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received from Gordy. He was professional, knowledgeable and encapsulated what I feel is the life long spirit of J&M and World Class Service! You see, I was a sales person, then an assistant manager, then a manager with my last store the Dallas Galleria (Store#1553) of J&M in the DFW area from 1980 until I resigned in 1987 for a career outside of retail. I hired my younger brother who later became the manager of J&M North Park many years after I left and then later became a District Manager over several states for Johnston & Murphy so I understand what World Class Service should be in my mind. Though I have been gone from Johnston & Murphy for almost 30 years, I have always taken with me the World Class Service that was instilled in me in my younger career. That being said, I wanted to not only thank Johnston & Murphy for keeping with their philosophy, but for also training their representatives to continue a lost art of “the customer comes first”. Again, thank you Gordy for your professionalism and assistance today, it was a pleasure doing business with you! Thanks also go to Luis Gonzalez the Store Manager who I called this evening to find out how to express my gratitude for such great service….
