"We visited this tavern for dinner on the evening of October 30. Two of us ordered the Brisket sandwich. It was horrible. One end of the meat could not even be bitten off. The other was about as tough as shoe leather once a piece was bitten off. We told our waitress that it was not edible, and her response was "I'm sorry". No offer to replace it, no adjustment of the bill, nothing. I wouldn't go there again if they were the only restaurant in town."

"Stopped by here on a little solo trip for dinner. The whitefish sandwich was one of the best I have ever had, and being from Northern Michigan, that means something. I ate outside so I cannot say much about the indoor dining experience, except it looked like it had lots of character when I went inside briefly. My server (I did not catch her name) was excellent and timely, even though I decided to dine outside in the very hot and humid weather. Very friendly people. Cold draft beer. Kudos to the chef for the deliciousness. Kudos on the service. Will definitely go back next time."

"My husband and I took a day trip and found this great place driving around. The manger was super nice. We aye outside, super cute. We went inside to look around, it was amazing! The food was great too! Our complements to the chef!"

"If you are interested in a classy dining experience with an old house, old hotel vibe. This place is a great option. Service was mediocre. We waited a little while, but did not mind with the live piano music in the background. We were in the fine dining area, but they had the door open to the bar. I believe a sports game was on, so we heard cheers from them while eating in a classy environment. I’d advise them to close any doors they can. Food was fantastic and beer selection was great as well. It was overall a great experience!"

"Larry and daughter Sam were great servers and hosts. And the food was great! The potato skins had the most amazing dip with it. And the bootlegger burger was quite savory. This place has a lot of history and makes legendary food. Keep at it! We'll be back."
