"Got a Christmas gift that was too large. Brought it in to exchange for a smaller size. They didn’t have it in stock in the store, so I needed to order the smaller size online. Lady at the register told me it would be best for me just to return the item to a merchandise card and purchase the item myself in the correct size online. So I did that. Walked out of the store and noticed a $30 difference between what was paid for the gift versus what I received back on the merch card. Went back inside to ask the lady about the price difference, and she told me it’s because when you return a gift, you don’t get any rewards earned back that the person received. And that the only way I could’ve done an even exchange would’ve been for them to do it as an exchange instead of a return….. Even though she’s the one that told me I should do it as a return. I asked if they could void the return and process as an exchange instead now. She said no. So now I guess I’m just out $30 bucks because of her mistake. Awesome customer service!"

"I just bought a portable propane burner and needed some fuel. I hadn't been to an REI in years. As per Plano, this place was large and impressive. It was also hopping, very busy. The selection was vast, but alas, they were sold out of Iwatani fuel. An employee told me it was because of the cold front and possible freezing precipitation. So I wasn't disappointed. Texans panic buy when 12 degrees and icy roads are predicted. I picked up a few odds and ends, including a map of Big Bend, a place on my bucket list. Fast, friendly checkout. Very nice store. I'll check out the Dallas location next."

"I love this store, it is well stocked for everything I need, except the Lady employee who served me last week of Asian origin Rude and a genius who denied me a bag for my order that I need to pick up that day, I don't. I don't understand that attitude. As immigrants, this is when we should be kinder. Let's not give this store any more problems since so far it is giving them work. Thanks to us, the Clients, please."

"Had a really good experience here. The employees we spoke to were really helpful. Ethan was super friendly and explained the membership program very thoroughly. Rico and K-dub were really knowledgeable about shoe fitting and offered lots of options. They also took time to bring us various sizes and to measure our feet as well. We will definitely be back."

"Great location with helpful employees and cute displays. Was happy to find a local hiking trails guide book that we’d been looking for and could not find at Barnes & Noble. Associate even took the time to find a new copy in the back since copy on shelf was a bit handled."
