Once Upon A Child Denton

"Selection was pretty pitiful. Tried bringing clothes in to see if they were picky or just having a slow spell. They're just picky. That and who is determining what clothes get kept or not? The clothing on the racks, what little there are, are absolutely tacky. Not even sure why this is a location or how it's still open."

"I called in advance to inquire about the closing time for purchases at Once Upon a Time in Denton, and I was informed it was 7:00 pm. However, upon my arrival at 6:06 pm with items for sale, I was told they had already stopped buying at 6:00 pm. Despite explaining that I traveled from Sanger, the manager declined to accept the items for processing the next day. This experience contrasts with other locations, like McKinney, where they have better staff, more accommodating hours, and, seemingly, a more customer-friendly approach to accepting items. Not worthy of the ONE star."

"BEWARE OF THE MEAN ROTTEN EMPLOYEE WHO IS A SCAMMER My mother took some of my daughter’s clothes to the OUAC in Denton. Somehow there wires got crossed and the lady said the clothes would be done at a certain time and of course they wernt. So when she came back to get them they wouldn’t give her ANY of the clothing items because if you wait more than like a day the “donate” them. Funny because we found some of these “donated” items for sell on their shelves. We knew because some of them had small marks on them that could go unnoticed but didn’t to us The lady that works in the morning that looks homely hands down provides THE WORST customer service I have ever seen in my life. Hopefully she has been fired. Claiming to give something to charity while pocketing the money for themselves is one of the worst things I’ve seen a store do. How unethical Yall need to be shut down your a waste of space and crooks! You steal from charity’s!!!! Who does that?!?!?"

"Really horrible customer service. I’ve gone to all the Once Upon a Childs in the DFW area and this one is by far the worst. I used to go in just to buy and the cashiers were just really unfriendly and unhappy. Then I tried to sell once. Apparently they were only taking very specific ages for clothes? But no one told me that. So I brought in clothes that were in the 4T range which they weren’t accepting but the cashier told me that they were. I drove all the way home (30 mins away) and drove back a few hours later as that is how long they told me it would take to go through the clothes. When I come back, I found out that they hadn’t gone through the clothes at all because they were 4T boys and they weren’t accepting any. This was a different cashier than the first one I spoke to. So a wasted trip which was so frustrating. Won’t ever come back here."

"I would just like to start of by saying; If you’re going to get money for clothes. It should be stated that the clothes need to be in a plastic container. I had bought a lot of clothing articles , and it they took 1/3 of the items . I we given $17 buck but idk who is in charge of What stays and what goes: Seems pretty lowball and sketchy . Also the prices of all there clothing has went up. They aren’t having the sales like normally. Occasionally you would get a sale from them at least once a month. i hope they get their act together .
